The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office status sassa focused on service the area on a regular basis. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes here it challenging to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
